More on Odie the Wonder Dog

Odie the Wonder Dog continues to bring joy, laughter, and face-slurping skills to many. He visits an inner-city after-school program for elementary students. He creates lots of giggles there. The children love Odie and he loves them. At nearby Furman University, Odie is invited to help students deal with the stress of Finals Week every semester. Students, mostly females, swarm all over him. He enjoys hugs and pats while wagging his tail and licking faces. And every week or so he visits The Greenville Rescue Mission for homeless men where he is a huge hit. Most of the men embrace Odie and play with him, sometimes getting down on the floor with him. He wags his tail and, you guessed it, licks faces. Odie is a good boy and we are blessed because we have Odie every day.

Note:  Not everyone embraces Odie. Part of that is the fact that he is 59% Pit Bull, 18% Staffordshire Bull Dog, 15% American Bulldog, and 8% unidentified (we think it might be giraffe). Some see him as imposing because he looks like a Pit Bull and weighs around ninety pounds, but there is not an aggressive or mean bone in his body. I might add that he is trained as a Certified Therapy Dog. If you're in the neighborhood, drop by and see for yourself, everyone Odie meets is his new best friend.
