Superstar

"Famous writers are snobs," I've heard people say. That has NOT been my experience. Case in point, a gathering my published poet daughter (Rowe) and I attended recently that featured novelist Cassandra King Conroy. She is the author of several best sellers, and is also known as the widow of literary superstar, Pat Conroy (Prince of Tides, The Great Santini, etc.) She spent some time with Rowe and me and was down to earth, pleasant, and interested in us and our writings. She was married to Pat Conroy for twenty-two years until he passed away on March 4th, 2016. Her new book is about their life together, Tell Me A Story. I highly recommend her, and her writing. A fine lady, for sure.
